I have been fortunate to have trained with great physicians back in the later 20th Century. They were of various disciplines…Allopathy, Osteopathy, Naturopathy, Eclectics, Chiropractors, Oriental Medicines and others. Philosophies of Medicine have changed over the centuries as we all have. Our Hippocratic Oath and first doing right by the health needs of your patient has brought physicians usually into respectful agreement. However, modern technological and insurance concerns have moved Medicine and other professions away from that spirit of commonality, sad to say.

Private practice of medicine in recent decades has become a complex technical and scientific journey. Naturopathic doctors value all useful technology for patient health, as have our ancestors. Skilled use of all technologies and healing modalities are appreciated for the health of our patients. But ancient medical systems have the most empirical science validation.

Naturopathy is a mix of medical specialties. The best of us appreciate and hope to learn from the best of the rest. Time spent with me might include reviewing existing lab reports, imaging studies, and medical history. Or, just a listen to you about what’s going on.

Your unique situation , however, might be better handled by a different specialist . I know many colleagues with unique skill sets. If a referral to them is the best for you, I would you to their teams for the best use of your time and resources.
